Custom HiAce: Stacked Drawers, Cable Holders And Ladder Storage

This custom Toyota HiAce storage system makes use of the rear and both sliding doors. Four stacked drawers open through the passenger-side sliding door, a full height shelving bay with Cable Holders faces the driver's side, and rear drawers sit beneath shelving with a built-in ladder hutch.

Each part of the layout has a different job: divided drawers organise smaller equipment, the Cable Holders provide a place for reels, and the ladder has its own compartment within the rear shelving.

Four Stacked Drawers At The Passenger Door

The passenger-side drawer bank is arranged two wide and two high, giving four separate drawers beneath a carpeted top deck. The photos show both the closed layout and drawers extended, with dividers separating the internal storage.

Stacking the drawers uses the available height above the floor. Access through the side door puts the compartments within reach without needing to open the rear of the van.

Full Height Shelving With Cable Holders

Across the van, a Full Height Shelving bay is accessible through the driver's sliding door. Shelves occupy the upper section, with Cable Holders below. The cable reel shown in the photos demonstrates how the lower part of the bay is used.

Combining shelves and Cable Holders in one bay gives different types of equipment their own positions. It also brings this storage to a separate doorway from the stacked drawers, rather than requiring every item to be accessed from one opening.

Rear Drawers And Shelving With A Ladder Hutch

At the rear, twin rear drawers sit beneath the carpeted load deck. The shelving above includes a dedicated hutch for the folded ladder, keeping it alongside the storage rather than across the main deck.
