Reach The Fridge From The Tailgate
A drawer fridge opens towards you from the rear. You do not need to lift a fridge lid into the space above it, which can be useful when planning a low, flat deck.
The layout still needs enough room for the fridge drawer to open, as well as the manufacturer's ventilation and installation clearances. Canopy access, tailgate position and the way you park should all be considered before choosing a fridge.
Keep Equipment In Its Own Drawer
A separate storage drawer beside the fridge gives tools, recovery equipment or camping gear a dedicated home. You can reach the fridge without opening the equipment drawer, and reach the drawer without moving the fridge.
Think about what you carry most often. The right layout should make those items easy to reach, rather than simply filling the tub with the largest possible drawers.
Keep A Usable Deck Above
The installation pictured retains a broad, flat carpeted surface above the fridge and drawer. Tie-down tracks provide attachment points for securing suitable loads.
When planning your own system, consider the height of anything you want to carry above the deck. The available canopy height, access openings, load limits and the weight of the complete setup all matter.
