HiAce Complete Storage and Power Fit-Out: From the Archive
Share
From the archive - video originally published December 2025. This article is dated to the original video release. The footage shows an earlier Lawson Automotive build; current products and options may differ.
This earlier Toyota HiAce build brings together several storage and power systems in one working van. The walkthrough is a useful example of how drawers, shelving and slides can be planned together around the equipment a tradie carries.
What is in this build?
- Four-drawer storage system with a shovel hutch.
- Dual battery and inverter setup.
- Easy Access shelving slider.
- Milwaukee PACKOUT Slide Deck.
- Two-tier StackSlider system.
- Step shelf and a custom microwave hutch.
Different equipment needs different access. Drawers separate the stored gear, shelving gives cases and supplies their own positions, and sliding modules bring equipment towards the door opening. The step shelf and custom hutches show how smaller areas can also become useful storage.
Use the walkthrough to plan your own layout
Consider what you need from the rear, what you collect at the sliding door and what needs a dedicated compartment. The combination in this earlier build is a reference for discussion; the available space and operating clearance still need to suit your own van.
Some names, configurations and electrical equipment shown are from an earlier product range. We confirm current availability, specifications and inclusions before quoting. The video also mentions our former Melbourne installation location; current manufacturing is based in Adelaide, with delivery available nationwide.
