LandCruiser 300 Storage: Will My Fridge Fit, And Where Can The Battery Go?
Share
Planning storage for a LandCruiser 300 works best when the fridge, drawers and battery are considered together. A wider fridge changes the space left for a drawer; adding a hutch changes the clearance again. Underfloor power also changes the weight of the starting platform.
Use these five questions to narrow down your LC300 INFINITY and PowerDeck layout before selecting the complete system.
1. Will my fridge suit a 50/50 or 60/40 layout?
Start with your exact fridge model and its external dimensions, rather than its litre capacity. Measure without an insulated bag or cover, and allow for handles, the connected power plug, ventilation and opening the lid.
A 50/50 layout pairs a 50% High Deck Slide with a 50% Base Drawer. A 60/40 layout gives the fridge a wider slide and uses a narrower drawer beside it. The current fridge-fit guide lists these planning widths:
| Layout | Usable fridge width without hutch | Recommended fridge width with hutch |
|---|---|---|
| 50% slide + 50% drawer | 475 mm | Up to 430 mm |
| 60% slide + 40% drawer | 575 mm | Up to 530 mm |
There is a practical storage trade-off: the 50% Base Drawer has a listed internal width of 360 mm, while the 40% drawer has 260 mm. Choose the fridge width first, then check that the remaining drawer suits what you carry.
The fit guide's chest-fridge matching uses a length limit of 1,000 mm and recommends fridges up to 75 litres to help manage weight. A width match is a starting point; Lawson Automotive confirms feet, length, connections and vehicle-height clearance before manufacture.

2. What changes when I add a fridge hutch?
The Fridge Hutch provides a top deck above the fridge, but its uprights reduce the available width. The 50% hutch has 442 mm between uprights, with a recommended fridge width of 430 mm. The 60% hutch has 542 mm between uprights, with a recommended fridge width of 530 mm.
For example, a 450 mm-wide fridge is within the 50% slide's listed usable width without a hutch, but exceeds the recommended width for the 50% hutch. Adding the hutch can therefore move the choice to a 60% slide and 40% drawer, subject to the other clearances.
Hutch height is built to suit the fridge. Send the fridge height as well as its width and length, and confirm lid access and the finished height inside your LC300. Drawer fridges use dedicated enclosure modules, so they should be selected through the drawer-fridge options rather than assessed as chest fridges on a slide.
3. Where can the battery go, and should I choose Alpha 105 or 210?
PowerDeck integrates the battery and charging system beneath the INFINITY floor, leaving the storage modules above removable. The LC300 floor has two lift-out access panels, one on each side.
The PowerDeck Alpha 105 provides 105 Ah of lithium capacity. The Alpha 210 provides 210 Ah. Both list REDARC BCDC Alpha50 charging hardware configured to 40 A, with DC and solar inputs.
Choose around your equipment and how long you expect to stay between charging opportunities. The 210 offers twice the nominal battery capacity, while the 105 has the lower floor weight. Ask Lawson Automotive to match the system to your fridge, other loads and charging routine; capacity alone does not establish a runtime.
The current range lists optional inverters up to 2,000 W for Alpha 105 and up to 3,000 W for Alpha 210. Inverters, compressors, wings and monitoring upgrades are selected separately. Complete-system continuous and peak discharge ratings remain to be confirmed; the BMS component rating is not the complete system's output rating.

4. Does my factory seating configuration matter?
Yes. The LC300 Premium False Floor has factory five-seat and factory seven-seat options. Select the configuration the vehicle was originally supplied with. For a seven-seat LC300, the third-row seats must be removed before fitting the floor.
Enter the original seating configuration in the INFINITY Kit Builder, along with the vehicle year and variant. The floor includes the mounting kit and subframe; drawers, slides, wings and electrical equipment are separate selections.
5. How much weight am I adding?
Compare the complete selection, rather than the battery weight alone. Current approximate LC300 floor weights are:
- Premium False Floor: 22.5 kg.
- PowerDeck Alpha 105 complete floor: 36.3 kg.
- PowerDeck Alpha 210 complete floor: 44.2 kg.
The powered-floor figures already include the floor, battery, charging system and vehicle loom. Do not add the plain floor weight again.
As a component subtotal, an Alpha 105 floor plus a 50% High Deck Slide (24.3 kg) and 50% Base Drawer (24.9 kg) comes to approximately 85.5 kg. The same modules with an Alpha 210 floor total approximately 93.4 kg.
Those are not finished installation weights: add the selected wings, hutch, electrical upgrades, fridge and carried equipment. Check the exact selection with Lawson Automotive. A runner component rating does not establish the payload rating of the complete installation or the vehicle's remaining carrying capacity.
